BROWS

  • Visiting us for brows?

We suggest letting your brow hairs grow at least 4-6 weeks prior to visiting us. It's easier to strategically see which hairs to leave, which hairs to remove and which areas grow more than others.

  • What makeup products should i use to fill in my brows?

Powders, pencils and tinted brow gels are the best choices for everyday use. Pomades tend to be very drying and tough to remove causing shedding and damage to your brows.

  • How long should I wait in between brow appointments?

We recommend waiting 4-6 weeks in between appointments to allow your hair to grow out properly.

  • What is brow tinting?

We offer 3 different types of brow tinting. Regular brow tinting, henna brow tinting and hybrid brow tinting. Color is applied to the brow area to achieve a longer lasting, filled in look.

  • What is a brow lamination?

A brow lamination is a chemical treatment which helps soften and straighten brow hairs in order to have more manageable brow hairs, helping you achieve your desired shape. It can last 6-8 weeks.

  • Can I get a brow lamination if I’m pregnant?

We do not recommend a brow lamination if you are expecting.

  • How long to let your eyebrows grow before your appointment?

We recommend at least 4-6 weeks of growth before making an appointment.

  • How often should you book brow maintenance appointments?

At least every 4-5 weeks is optimal.

BODY WAX

  • How long will your wax last / how often should you wax?

If you’re a first timer or occasional waxer you will likely notice some new hair growth within sometimes few days or 2-3 weeks due to the naturally staggered hair growth cycle. Regular waxing will leave the area hair free for up to 3-6 weeks.

  • Will waking really make your hair grow in less?

Yes! Waxing damages the hair follicle causing the new hair to grow in softer and finer. After long term waxing it is possible for some hair to never grow back. Every client is different!

  • Can you wax while pregnant?

Yes! You may experience more sensitivity but you sure can keep getting waxed.

  • Can you wax while on your period?

Yes! You can wax while on your period (with a tampon) but you will experience higher sensitivity during this time of the month Due to higher hormone levels you will feel more pain.

  • How often should i wax?

Getting waxed regularly 4-6 weeks will make the service less painful and hair will grow back thinner and finer.

  • How long should I wait in between waxes?

We recommend waiting 4-6 weeks between waxes to allow your hair time to grow out long enough to be waxed.

  • What kind of wax do you use?

Here at HAUS of Wax we use hard wax. It sticks to the hair and not the skin, allowing for less pain in the waxing process.

  • How can I prevent ingrown hairs?

Beginning 3-10 days after your wax, you can start exfoliating using a scrub or and exfoliating glove. We recommend exfoliating about 3 times a week. You can also use an after wax lotion or oil.
